This was an interesting webinar. There are so many apps that are suitable for students with LD. Some of the apps may have a different purpose but I thibk this is the advantage of apps in that you can use them for different purposes. The camera is so versatile for example.
I really liked the sticky notes. They are easy to make and the different colurs make them stand out. They can be used for notices, notes and for revision especially when looking a vocabulary as a preteaching strategy.
I liked the idea of the enhanced textbooks. I was able to access a sample of one but it did not have the video and detailed graphics but pages of writing. The textbooks have been reviewed as Wiki is usally not. Saying that, I like the Wiki versatility of simple text, read aloud, etc.
One of the best aspects of this webinar was at the beginning with the demonstration of the general settings. i will use the voice, read back speed, reading of highlighted text. I prefer it when a real person speaks so that the play back is less mechanical.
A good webinar and good set of apps.

How can we set up and run a webinar?

  1. I agree that this webinar provides a wealth of information. You do a great job of taking notes and I also appreciated the instruction about the Accessibility settings. It's great when there are on board features that are useful like the text read feature so we don't even have to download an app.
